We operate as Sales Agents in the Central & Eastern Europe region. We exclusively act for the brand leader in the UK of canned fish products, John West Foods Limited.

We have been active in the region since 1991, we have established distributorships operating in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia, and we are in active negotiation with potential distributors in other Countries of the region.

Our responsibility starts with the careful selection of a distributor who is capable of representing the range of products in a professional and ethical way, and is able to respond to the needs of the market. Careful checks on the background of the principals and the credit worthiness of the business are undertaken at an early stage.

Once selected, the distributor and their sales staff undergo extensive training, to give them full familiarization with the product range which has been selected for distribution. The product is then sent to the relevant import authorities in order to gain vetinarary approval for import and distribution.
Listings are then sought with all of the major supermarket groups in the Country selected for initial distribution. Initial listings normally involve fees and are subject to negotiation, the negotiations generally involve a commitment to participate in "supermarket specific" promotions three or four times a year.

Our role is to follow the product from factory to warehouse, to distributor, to consumer and then to plan, coordinate and influence every aspect of every step along the route.

Our in house forwarder CEESA ensures that we maintain control of the delivery of our products.

Distributors in the region need to be encouraged to generate sales activity in innovative ways. Our in market presence ensures that they are appraised of all possible areas where we can increase our sales activity, be they with special promotions or the introduction of new product lines.

We maintain direct relationships with most of the buyers in supermarkets and together with the appointed distributors, we maintain regular contact to ensure that our products are well represented and that we are able to conduct effective promotional campaigns.

We have our own dedicated in market support organization (ARTUS) which conducts consumer tastings, prepares selective advertising, conducts in store merchandising, shelf planning and management and works very closely with our distributors, the individual supermarket managers and the consumer.
